It’s a matter of water

In 2056 safe groundwater is no longer plentiful and in many regions of the country people are becoming desperate. Large scale migrations occur. In a remote part of western Kansas a stranded mother and her son are reluctantly taken in by an eccentric farmer.  But soon the mother and son become suspicious of the farmer while potential dangers in the night may threaten their survival.
